New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Rangers center Brad Richards will miss Tuesday's key divisional contest against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Richards was on the receiving end of an illegal hit by Buffalo forward Patrick Kaleta in the third period of Sunday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sabres, but returned to action shortly thereafter. Kaleta was given a five-game suspension for his actions on Monday.

The 32-year-old pivot has totaled just two goals and 13 points in 20 games this season.

To fill the roster spot, the Blueshirts recalled Micheal Haley from Connecticut of the AHL. Haley, who played a role in the infamous Penguins- Islanders brawl two seasons ago, will make his Rangers debut.
