Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher suffered a concussion during Saturday's win against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gallagher took a hit from Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn in the third period.

"In Gallagher's case, it's a concussion. We're going to follow the protocol," said Montreal coach Michel Therrien at Sunday's post-practice press conference. "He felt much better this morning than last night. He definitely won't play on Monday night against Carolina, and we'll take it from there."

In 13 games this season, Gallagher has five goals and three assists.
