Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles forward Anze Kopitar will return to the lineup when the Kings face the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Kopitar missed the defending Stanley Cup champions' season-opening 5-2 loss to Chicago on Saturday while recovering from a sprained right ankle suffered while playing in Sweden during the lockout.

The native of Slovenia totaled 76 points in 82 regular-season games for LA, adding 20 points in 20 postseason games en route to the franchise's first title.
