Blue Jackets place Calvert on IR

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets placed forward Matt Calvert on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.

Calvert was stricken during Monday's 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars, and according to league rules, must be out at least one week.

In addition, the timetable for the return of forward Cam Atkinson (lower-body injury) is unknown.

To fill the roster spots, the Jackets recalled forward Jonathan Audy- Marchessault and defenseman Tim Erixon from Springfield of the American Hockey League.

Audy-Marchessault is fresh from an All-Star selection, having totaled 16 goals and 45 points in 42 games this season.
