Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Avalanche placed forward Gabriel Landeskog on injured reserve Friday.

The move is retroactive to Jan. 26.

Landeskog has struggled in his sophomore campaign, recording a single goal in four games, after scoring 22 times and collecting 52 points in 82 games during his rookie season in 2011-12.

To fill the roster spot, the Avs recalled forward David Van Der Gulik from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
