Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres announced Wednesday that forward Patrick Kaleta will miss his club's upcoming game at Boston due to a neck injury.

Kaleta was hurt in the first period of a 4-3 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday when he was hit into the boards by Toronto's Mike Brown. Brown was given a penalty for boarding on the play, while Kaleta did not return and was taken to a local hospital for observation, where he remained overnight.

The 26-year-old winger had yet to record a point in the first six games of the 2013 season.
