The Washington Redskins placed safety Chris
Horton on injured reserve Wednesday.
Horton suffered ligament damage in his toe during Sunday's 31-17 loss to the
Falcons. He had started five of eight games for Washington this season,
totaling 36 tackles, three passes defended and a fumble recovery.
The club re-signed running back Quinton Ganther to take his roster spot, while
Fred Smoot and LeRon Landry could see time in at strong safety.
