The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed safety Will
Allen and linebacker Rod Wilson on injured reserve.
Allen has a broken thumb and Wilson is suffering from a hamstring injury.
The Buccaneers filled the roster spots by signing linebacker Matt McCoy and
promoting first-year cornerback Derrick Roberson from the practice squad.
Allen notched 21 tackles in a reserve role, while Wilson contributed on
special teams with a pair of tackles.
McCoy joins the Bucs for a third time this year. He played in the first two
games of the season, starting the opener against Dallas while linebacker Geno
Hayes was disciplined, before being released in late September. McCoy then
returned after missing one game and appeared in two more games before another
release on October 13.
Roberson was inactive for one game earlier this season, then was released and
re-signed to the practice squad.
The Bucs also signed rookie safety Emmanuel Cook to the practice squad.
