Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman and
first round draft pick Andre Smith finally saw the practice field on
Wednesday, but his status for Sunday's contest against the Chicago Bears
remains unclear.
Smith, who was a limited participant, was only allowed to run non-contact
drills. Less than two days after signing his rookie contract with the team,
the big right tackle fractured his left foot in a September 2 practice and has
been out ever since.
The sixth overall pick out of Alabama is more likely to make his NFL debut on
November 8 when Cincinnati hosts AFC North Division rival Baltimore.
Safety Roy Williams (forearm) and defensive tackle Domata Peko (knee) sat out
Wednesday's practice session.
