Owings Mills, MD (Sports Network) - Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will not return for Sunday's game against the New York Giants as he continues to recover from a torn triceps.

Lewis, despite practicing for the past three weeks, remains on injured reserve with a designation to return. The Ravens had until Saturday afternoon to determine his status for Sunday.

The 17-year veteran has been sidelined since Week 6 back in October. He was eligible to return for last week's game against Denver, and there is now speculation he might not play again until the playoffs.

According to the NFL Network, Lewis will also sit out the regular-season finale next Sunday against Cincinnati.
