Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez will replace the Boston Celtics' Rajon Rondo in the upcoming All-Star Game in Houston on Feb. 17.

Lopez, who is averaging 18.6 points and 7.3 rebounds in 38 games this season, is set to make his first appearance in the mid-season contest. The former Stanford Cardinal has helped New Jersey to a record of 27-18, good enough for second place in the Atlantic Division.

Rondo will miss the remainder of the 2012 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, after he was hurt in last Friday's double-overtime loss at Atlanta. He was averaging 13.7 points and a NBA-leading 11.1 assists per game in 38 contests this season.
