Recap: Charlotte vs. St Bonaventure

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Andrew Nicholson and Demitrius Conger each recorded double-double to lead the St. Bonaventure Bonnies to a 72-56 win over the Charlotte 49ers in Atlantic-10 conference action at Dale F. Halton Arena.

Nicholson finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds and Conger had 12 points and 11 rebounds for St. Bonaventure (16-10, 9-5 A-10) which has won three straight. Matthew Wright also added 13 points for the Bonnies.

Javarris Barnett and DeMario Mayfield each had 13 for Charlotte (13-14, 5-10) which also got 11 points from Pierria Henry.

St. Bonaventure led by 10, 39-29 at halftime after shooting 48.4 percent from the floor including 4-of-8 from three point range while limiting Charlotte to 40.7 percent and 1-of-11 from beyond the arc.

The Bonnies turned in a 47.8 percent shooting performance in the second half and the 49ers regressed to 35.7 percent.

Charlotte outscored St. Bonaventure 21-14 on points off turnovers in the losing effort while the Bonnies held a 37-28 edge on the boards.
