CLEVELAND (AP) - Authorities say a northeast Ohio man who fatally shot a burglar in a Cleveland home in November and wounded a man in another break-in this week at the same location had been convicted of a weapons charge in 2010.

Oakwood Village Police Chief Mark Garratt said Friday that 58-year-old Miodrag Bugarcic was convicted in Bedford Municipal Court of a concealed-weapon violation.

The charge stemmed from him firing shots into the ground in an argument with a neighbor. Bugarcic was sentenced to six months in jail, with all but three days suspended.

No phone listing could be found for Bugarcic. His attorney in the 2010 case offered Friday to try to relay a message seeking comment.

The Cleveland prosecutor's office is reviewing Monday's latest shooting to decide on any charges.

CLEVELAND (AP) - Authorities say a northeast Ohio man who fatally shot a burglar in his home in November shot another man who broke into his home this week.

Police say the latest intruder was shot Monday morning in Miodrag Burgarcic's house in Cleveland. He was taken to the hospital with an arm wound. Burgarcic told officers he was holding the burglar at gunpoint and fired when the suspect tried to hit him with a lamp.

The Plain Dealer reports that Burgarcic fatally shot a 43-year-old knife-wielding burglar in the chest after finding the man in his home Nov. 21. No charges were filed.

The prosecutor's office will review the circumstances of the latest shooting.

Even more proof that dumb criminals don't research, but instead are knee jerk in their choices - Good, that way they never know what type of person they are intending to victimize!

Sounds as if this last burglar was just trying to show him the "light" LOL. It is a shame he is still breathing. .... Google that name. I'm still on his side but I don't think I'd have a beer with him. But then again it looks as if He isn't afraid to stand his ground. I wonder what his landlord track record is. He might be a good guy for the city and totally frustrated with bad home/land owners. I understand his side totally if that is the case.

Economystic - 12:11 PM - Because criminals are dumb-dumb-dumb, thus the oft used term, 'dumb criminals'...there is basis in fact to the moniker! We now have a new breed of dumb criminal, the kind that walks into bullets...

Do these folks think this man has something special or important in his house? They must. Once I can understand. Two times, well not so much. We know the whole Cleveland area knows he killed someone before, so unless you were desperate, why would you break into this man's house. Somethings going on, you think.

He should have killed him; now the guy can sue (and will probably win). Sounds to me like this man needs to move to a better neighborhood.

Send more burglars his way but give him the money from the crimestoppers fund first. I don't know how much the reward is for home invaders but he deserves it times two. (Juat a tip though dude, always shoot to kill if you can if you have to shoot)

Well, there you go - a 'warning' for the criminal - which is more that their victims get...folks are sick to death of being victimized and are beginning to return the favor - that criminals are historically stupid is proven here with a criminal who decided to 'victimize' a person who has already shown his willingness to shoot the dumbasses.
