BICKNELL, Ind. (AP) - Two small earthquakes rattled part of southwestern Indiana in the state's most seismic area.
The U.S. Geological Survey says both of Thursday evening's earthquakes were centered near the Knox County town of Bicknell
about midway between Evansville and Terre Haute.
The first quake had a magnitude of 2.7 and the second about an hour later registered 3.1.
The Knox County area is within the Wabash Valley Seismic Zone, which was shaken by a magnitude 5.2 earthquake in 2008 that was centered in a nearby part of Illinois.
