BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - The actor who played David Starsky in the 1970s police drama "Starsky & Hutch" has found himself on the other side of real law enforcement in Kentucky.

Bowling Green police arrested 69-year-old Paul Michael Glaser of Venice, Calif., hours after he read an excerpt of his young adult novel, "Chrystallia and the Source of Light," to students at a middle school on May 10.

According to a citation, Glaser said he had medical marijuana prescribed to him in California.

Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force Director Tommy Loving told The Daily News that Kentucky doesn't recognized medical marijuana licenses.

Glaser faces possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in Warren District Court on May 31. Court records did not list an attorney for him.

Californians tend to be arrogant and think their state laws apply to the whole country.

Stephonize - read my post again. I said there are some people that can do it and maintaine control and have no issues. I smoked it in high school. I pointed out it is the group who have other issues and the use of marijuana can make it worse. Yes, there are plenty of other people out there with issues of their own that have nothing to do with marijuana. I did not know we were talking about them. I reserve those comments for the stories specific to those issues. We are talking about marijauna right now.

Why not legalize, control ,and tax it? Can you imagine the economic boom to the State of Kentucky,if they were allowed to operate marijauna farms? Never happen. The religious freaks still have more than half the counties of Kentucky dry.
