More details would be nice. It sounds like this was an execution style murder based on the limited information. One person shot in the head on a bus. No one else infjuried. The suspects fled to Indy.

Kingdon? Wasn't there a snack cake by that name? I think there was a mascot that was the snack cake with a mustachioed face on it and arms, legs, and a crown on top.
