It's a good thing the GPS didn't tell him to jump off a bridge.

I was the person that called the accident in. This guy was ALL over the expressway, driving erratically, weaving in and out & I was reaching for my phone to call because I felt certain that there was going to be an accident, when I saw him go off the road. It's a blessing that he didn't kill himself or someone else. Did his GPS also tell him to drink and drive?

I'm updating my Garmin maps just in case! LOL! I suppose we should be grateful his GPS got him off the road and nobody else was struck and/or killed by this idiot.

I always found it hilarious to imagine my GPS telling me to turn, and I immediately turn into a building or something (like that one Allstate commercial). Never thought it would actually happen to someone!

I've actually had my GPS tell me to "stop, and make a u-turn"...no lie. My ex told me he thought it should have said "just hand over the keys, and nobody gets hurt."

GPS never makes mistakes? LOL.... I remember a few adventures in California. Once my GPS informed me I was driving in open desert, when in fact I was on a 4-lane road. Another time in the middle of San Francisco, my GPS "recalculated" and decided I was in the middle of the bay. And the time in Los Angeles on I-5, it told me to exit to the right. Except it was a left hand exit, then it whined at me for taking the exit. And the amazing disappearing cross street in Pasadena, which would vanish from the GPS display as I approached it, and re-appear after I got past it. That's why sobriety is essential when driving. With or without a GPS.
