COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A Columbus high school has canceled classes after police responding to a possible break-in at the site fired at and injured someone.
The circumstances of the shooting were unclear Tuesday as the district announced it would cancel classes for the day at Brookhaven High School in northwest Columbus.
The injured person was taken to a hospital in stable condition after the early-morning shooting, which occurred hours before classes were set to begin. Police didn't immediately release details about the injured person.
No officers were hurt.
