Hey Bigtuna I don't think The CEO was referring to parenting. It's more like we need you here. it's easier for things to get done with everyone in the office. I know where I work, if there is a problem life is smoother if they are on site.

I am sure places like Google and Yahoo have onsite daycares for workers children. I would be shocked if they didnt. But that aside where does it show that a successful parent is a bad parent? My mother and father both worked a lot and my babysitter after school was my sister. All the kids in my family have happy and successful careers and we were even spanked when we acted out as kids. Society will be the downfall of parenting as well as children learning and knowing respecting others!!!!!

A good woman would be a "mother" first and a CEO second.

Leaving her baby all day just after 2 weeks, she'll be lucky if the baby even knows who she is when she IS with her. But what an emplyee, guess that's all that counts.

@ bandemama:: Very well stated..I'm not a Mom, but I am a parent, and for her to farm her child into the care of someone else is a choice that "she" has the right to make..I wouldn't..I do think that it is wrong for her to take away that choice from the people who may have chosen that as a requisite to accepting employment with Yahoo..

Going back to work 2 weeks after giving birth doesn't make her famous and it certainly doesn't make her a hero. It might say that she's dedicated, but it doesn't make her great. If anything, it makes her a horrible mother. The first weeks and months after a baby are crucial for bonding with the baby. Sounds to me like she's in for a life full of resentment. Resentment from her employees and resentment from her children. Way to go lady. Maybe you should reconsider being a CEO and spend some time being a mom (this is written by a working mom by they way)
