A Franklin woman who admitted in a Warren County court that she pretended to be a teenage boy in order to have sex with teenage girls is now out of jail. 31 year old Patricia Dye served her jail sentence and was released this morning.
In October, Dye entered a guilty plea on three misdemeanor charges-sexual imposition, attempted sexual imposition, and contributing to the delinquency or unruliness of a minor-and was sentenced to six months in jail with 90 days suspended. Counting in the time she served before her trial, she finished her sentence today.
Dye was arrested on June 30th after she allegedly had a sexual encounter with a 16-year-old girl from Springboro. She cut her hair and dressed as a boy and the two apparently went to a motel for sex-that's when the teen girl discovered Dye's true gender and ran away.
As part of her probation, Dye must also undergo a mental evaluation, stay away from her victim, and she will be classified as a Tier One sex offender. That means Dye must register with the county sheriff at least once a year for 15 years and must notify the sheriff anytime she moves, gets a new job, or enrolls in school.
