Cincinnati Police are looking for several men they believe robbed a Westwood restaurant early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the Applebee's restaurant on Crookshank road near Glenway avenue around 2:00 a.m.

They said several men in black ski masks entered the restaurant with guns as the staff was closing the restaurant. The manager was tied up as the men broke into the safe, taking cash. At least three other employees were still inside during the robbery. No one was hurt.

If you any information that could help police, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040. You can text "CINTIP" to "CRIMES," or 274637. You will always remain anonymous. You can also submit your tip online at http://crime-stoppers.us/.

Sad to say, this is just the beginning. Places like Hostess are closing, 18000 newly unemployed people, say only 1% of them turn to crime for income when times get hard, that means 180 NEW armed thugs on the streets. The economy is getting worse, people are getting desperate, & most thugs are uneducated and hopeless. Oh yeah, this is only the beginning. Not being pessimistic, just being real. RideOrDie513.com

CT Spaulding "This story is absolutely impossible. Applebees clearly has signs on their doors that prohibit carrying a firearm into the building." - LOL!! It's no suprised they got robbed. The same reason why the movie theatre in Colorado was attacked, they too had the "Firearms prohibited here..." sign. Yeah, criminals follow the rules, NOT!! RideOrDie513.com

Spaulding, but were those “signs” printed in Spanish and Ghetto in addition to English?

Nerak, not that its mentioned in the story, but its possible they waited outside for the manager to open the door to let employees out. At that point they grabbed one of the employees put a gun against their head and forced the manager to open the door. Thats the way it went down at a restaurant I was working at.

Were the doors left unlocked? The story reads that they entered, not they they broke into. I don't understand why the doors would not be locked if they are closed and cleaning up. I know nothing is for sure, but this could have given them a minute or two to call 911. Glad all employees are okay and I hope they find these losers and put a bullet in each of their heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe a former employee. Although you don't have to be a former employee of Applebees since all these places work pretty much the same way.

Look for the inside man on this....a current or former employee. Someone has to know a few details about the restaurant's operation to pull off an operation like this. Westwood continues to fall.
