Warren County Racino Clears Another Hurdle

The Tri-State's first racino is one step closer to opening in the Monroe area.

The Ohio Racing Commission voted unanimously Thursday to approve the sale of the Lebanon Raceway.

That clears another hurdle for the construction of a new $175M gambling destination off Ohio 63 near I-75.

It's expected to open next year, with more than 1,800 video lottery terminals, a harness racing track and a paddock.

Miami Valley Gaming and Racing still needs approval from the Ohio Lottery Commission.

Hopefully this will go through after the state stopped an Indian Casino a few years ago being built in Monroe , probably because the big cities wanted all the casinos to help bail them out from their over spending .
