Cincinnati Police say the suspect in a Walnut Hills murder is now behind bars-in Los Angeles, California.  25 year old Derek Hampton was arrested yesterday on the West Coast.

Investigators say Hampton shot 38-year-old DeMarco Reed in Walnut Hills on Lincoln Ave. around 11 p.m. on October 2nd.

Officers at the scene said Reed stumbled into the N and I Market  on Gilbert Ave. after he was shot. He was rushed to University Hospital where he died.

Court documents indicate Hampton was in the midst of an argument with another man when he fired several shots, one of which hit and killed Reed.

School night..? I wish we could still operate in that world. We are saturated with the ugliness daily. I think we are pretty clear by now who's to blame. Soft glove legislation, an ignorant permissive society, based in our conditioned voyers need to see, then act appalled. Theres a reason some lessons are time learned, because they are base in fundamental right. We as a nation have seemed to text and tweet into ignorant bliss. We are an image driven society , and those images and the product of those images suck! Press On Dudes.

Previous version of this story didn't have his age. Not blaming the victim, only wondering about his age and why he wasn't home. BACK OFF JERK.
