CINCINNATI - Community members will congregate on Fountain Square Monday for the fifth annual Power Pack-a-Thon benefitting the Freestore Foodbank.
The event commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.
From 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., volunteers will prepare Power Packs, which are bags of nutritious food. The Freestore Foodbank provides Power Packs to local students each Friday, to ensure they have something to eat on weekends when they are away from school.
At 1:30 p.m., Panera Bread will present the Freestore Foodbank with a check from the proceeds of the 2012 Operation Dough Nation campaign.
