Cincinnatus, "he or she is an addict?" You don't actually believe that do you? Were you trying to say "potentially" or making a blanket statement?

I can see the advantage. It will show, just like at work, that drug use is not acceptable. Hopefully it will keep some from making the wrong choice and they will have better learning ability. This in turn will allow them to get a decent job instead of dropping out and becoming a bum living off of welfare or the bad other avenues.

"Now that schools educates, feeds, disciplines, and tests my kids for drugs, I have more free time for myself!!!"

Schools should NOT be responsible to drug testing kids...with everything else 'lackluster' and 'YOU take care of it' parents expect schools to do for their kids, this is just lazy and crazy. Wake up folks, they are the people that are going to choose your nursing home or some other SNF!

There are plenty of highschool students legally drugged up on amphetamine which is pushed by doctors as an ADHD treatment and I bet they get an exemption. It's ok if the doctor is the pusher. Amphetamines were once banished from prescription on the basis of being too dangerous for adults. They are highly addictive. If you have a kid on Adderall, he or she is an addict.
