A crash between a school bus and a dump truck in Madisonville on Tuesday morning sends two people to the hospital.

The bus and the garbage truck were on Glenshade Avenue just before 8 a.m. The garbage truck turned slightly onto Sierra in order to change directions. The bus continued through the intersection. That's when the truck backed into the school bus.

Five people, including three teens were on the bus at the time. A bus monitor and a teen received minor injuries.

There's no word on any charges.

My daughter was the teen injured on the school bus. She hit her head, but is ok and was discharged earlier today. It was scary getting that phone call, but I'm relieved that she nor anyone else was seriously injured.

Lee62 - That's the same thing I say when people hit our police cars and fire engines...some people think they get hypnotized by "light sensory overload".
