this is a very devasting life changing event. If you know anyone involved in these tornadoes you can help them by letting them talk about it. let them tell thier story as much as they want to. this is basically "Talk Therapy." The sooner (and more) they get to talk about it the less likely they are to experience the Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) associated with these traumatic life-threatening events. So if you know someone let them talk ask questions, and let them talk all theywant to talk. Don't get tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. You will be helping a friend like you will never (I hope never) know.

the weathermen did ok,but missed the smaller towns that got hit. they need to put a time limit on the emergency sirens how long they blast them,they may help in populated areas some,but once it hits all u can hope for is life.

First, let me say that our prayers go out to everyone effected by the storms. Secondly, in reference to trebor's post, this is exactly what happens when we rely on the gov't. What amazes me is that the gov't has more control now than ever, based on nearly positive returns. They have failed at almost every occassion, largely because they are in areas that they have zero clue. What's even more disturbing is the fact that the internet has truly made us more free, but yet we have more gov't control.

I don't understand the deal with these sirens! Some of us got blasted by them for no real reason, and yet others who REALLY needed to be warned didn't hear any at all.

We found a canceled check from Henryville, IN elementary school that was dated 1988............we found it in Dillsboro, IN around 4:00pm when it fell from the sky along with other debris such as insulation, roofing materials and paper.

no sirens in Winchester either.

We are in West Union,OH.... why didn't the sirens sound? I mean, yeah, we were able to keep up with the news online, but there are some people out here that don't have internet or cable to be able to know what's going on, they would just think it was another thunderstorm.
