Cincinnati Police arrest two men who allegedly tried to take advantage of a family already down on their luck, by ransacking their fire-damaged home for copper.
Police say Marques Hicks and Donta Walker were caught casing the house on Catherine Avenue in Avondale by an alert neighbor.
The family had to move out of the house after this fire on the Fourth of July. Investigators believe children playing with fireworks started it.
Officers say they caught Walker and Hicks as they tried to run away. Walker apparently admitted they were after copper.
Both he and Hicks are being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
