Two Cincinnati firefighters were injured early Monday morning fighting a fire in Avondale.
The fire broke out at 1:11 a.m. at a home located on Blair Ave.
When firefighters arrived, there were heavy flames coming from the building. The conditions quickly deteriorated and the first floor flashed over. The second floor then flashed over, injuring two firefighters who were trying to escape. They were inside the home, looking for someone who was reported as trapped. But no other victims were in the home.
The firefighters were treated for minor burns. The building is a total loss. Damage is estimated at $80,000.
Three adults and one child are being assisted by Red Cross.
