An error has meant voters in one Hamilton County area used incomplete ballots this morning. But it is not clear whether those voters will get a chance to return to the poll and vote in the race.
The Hamilton County Board of Elections tells Local 12 there is one precinct in Fairfax which is also inside Columbia Township. In that precinct, the trustees for Columbia Township were inadvertently left off the ballot.
The Board of Elections became aware of the problem and corrected it by 10 a.m. Sally Krisel of the Board of Elections says about 53 absentee ballots and 70 regular ballots from this morning are affected.
The Board of Elections asked the Ohio Secretary of State for the chance to contact those affected voters and give them a chance to return to vote on the trustees. But the Secretary of State has told them not to begin that process. Right now, the Board is asking the Secretary of State for clarification on what to do next.
Local 12 is following this developing story and we'll post new information here as soon as it is available.
