CBS - It's a sight you don't normally see during a winter storm in the Midwest.
Lightning lit up the sky in Springfield, Missouri, as the biggest storm to hit the area in years. The precipitation shut down roads and schools.
Local meteorologists are calling this type of weather, "thundersleet."
