More often than not these days, when people want to share something, they'll share it on Facebook and Twitter.
The online tech and social media website,
Mashable.com, just compiled which Thanksgiving side dishes were mentioned the most on social media over the past few months.
The data was collected by
Viralheat.
Out of 156,441 mentions of the phrase "thanksgiving dinner," 38,454 mentioned stuffing as their favorite side dish. Stuffing was followed by mashed potatoes with 23,822 mentions, yams with 17,373 mentions, and green beans with 13,988 total mentions.
As for desserts, 45% talked about pumpkin pie, 41% talked about apple pie, and 14% mentioned pecan pie.
The Mashable report found the day most people talked about turkeys on Facebook was Friday.
