Cincinnati Police responded to West Price Hill Wednesday night for a report of a shooting. Investigators are now looking for two cars involved in a gun battle that left a teenage girl with injuries.

The 13-year-old was hit in the leg near the corner of Dewey Avenue and Liberty Street around 9 p.m. Police said people in two cars opened fire on one another as they passed each other. One of those bullets hit the girl who was standing nearby.

She was taken to Children's Hospital. Police said she has non-life threatening injuries. Her name was not released by police.

Officers continue to search for the vehicles involved-a Black Chevy Malibu and dark-colored PT Cruiser.

Looks to me like the gangs that were busted up and the ones displaced by the neighborhood clean ups are trying to dominate a new territory. I think the cops should have a free pass at shooting anyone that is doing gang related type stuff. Shoot them now or watch this area become a festering sewer hole like South Chicago. Don't want to just single out South Chicago but that is the only area I HAD to spend time ( roughly 2 years on and off ) in for the company I work for. It was disgusting and one night while trying to go to downtown Chicago I got lost on a detour and found myself in a place I absolutely did not need or want to be in. Groups of thugs on every corner. I had them try and open the doors as I was at a stop sign, I think I ran over his foot but was not stopping and never stopped at another stop sign either until I found my way out. I was begging for a cop to pull me over for the violations or for speeding just so I could find my way out as quick as possible. That never happened but eventually I found an on ramp for the Skyway Bridge and shagged out. I have never returned to that slum hole but spent many nights watching local news for that area. ............. I just don't remember hearing Price Hill being so violent like it has the last week..

Remember awhile back there was that huge bust by some gang task force? I think this is probably the result of the open drug territory being disputed over by the gangs still left.

Welcome to the City of Cincinnati folks. The new police chief is doing such a fine job...or so he says. Maybe that's why the state has an exam to be a police officer...to make sure you are capable of doing the job....oh, but wait, the police chief does not want to take the exam...I wonder why, maybe he is not capable and afraid of failing the exam. Maybe this neighborhood violence is already telling us he failed.

In the posted picture, is that how the Police dress to appear professional now, or just two neighborhood guys checking out the crime scene? The site isn't cleared, they still have markers set on the road.

These are typically the antics of dopeboys who grew up with single mothers who used drugs thruout their child's lives. This is the legacy of the welfare system which rewards sloth and bad parenting.
