This kid is a cold blooded killer and should never see daylight again. He's lucky he's not facing the death penalty. Everyone who commits murder in this cold blooded fashion is mentally ill...I guess we should just reduce all their sentences and let then out on the streets to walk among us and do it again....

you know, everyone has their own opinions on this case, but the truth is, none of us are the judge jury or executioner. I agree with many of the more intelligent opinions I've read, but it does not change the fact that it isn't up to me or anyone else to determine this boy's fate. There is a plan laid out for him, and it will be carried out no matter how we feel about it. I am not a very religious person, but I do believe God has a reason and a plan for this. Maybe this will cause awareness to raise with parents about the state of their children. It saddens me that a young boy had to die for these issues to become spotlighted, but it is what it is. I am very sorry for the family's loss, and I am very sorry that Andrew was chosen to be the one to execute this plan, but God knows what he is doing. Maybe Andrew will never get out of prison, maybe he will recieve the full sentence. Or maybe he will receive a lighter sentence, but prison justice will take effect. either way, what is meant to be will be and no amount of arguing or accusations or finger-pointing will change God's plan. Instead of worrying about things we have no control over, perhaps we should instead focuz on the message that was meant to be sent by this tragic event.

In the state of IND. you can cut your prison time in 1/2 with good behavior. 1/2 of 45 is 22.5 years making him only about 41y.o. 1/2 of 65 = 32.5 making him only about 51y.o. And that is if he does 1/2 his time and has good behavior. (63 y.o. to 83y.o. doing all this time.) 45 years and 65 years does not mean the whole time in IND. This punk will get out in a serial killers high time. and be even better at it. Having time to think and learn. Getting off on only doing 1/2 of whatever. PLEASE LWOP !!

jaylynnmarie, I agree with your post about brother killing brother. Where was the love? how horrorable. There was never a time I could ever hert my little brother. I wake him up at 6 to go to school, he does good in school. I work and go to school so I don't help him with his homework we have a close relative who helps with that he also helped me get custody of my little brother. This kid that killed his little brother has to be mentally ill so bad or the devil is in him, he needs never get out in public again, that's just what I think.

This is so sad!! First of all for the person that states that we don't know what kind of life this kid had and she does,and how his mom was a bad mother. Please give it up!!! Many kids grow up in a very bad households and don't kill other people. I get it the kid is depressed but that is no reason that this kid should not go to jail,and do the time. For the other person that states he should not of been tried as an aduld wake up these kids should start taking responsibilty for what they do!!!! This kid new that he was going to do what he did and that is a shame and its sick. He should never be let out of jail ever. On the other hand Parents need to be educated more..... If this kid was depressed the mom/dad should of got him help a long time ago.

I don't think this kid should have been tried as an adult. That's happening too much lately. I'm no doctor but I think this is a very troubled young kid. I really believe that a persons home life can really mess them up. I think I read somewhere that his mom had been married 4 times?! Who knows what all has happened to him! It's awful what happened; to both of these children.
