CHANTILLY, Va. (AP) - It sounds like a weapon out of Sherlock Holmes.
But airport security screeners are finding swords hidden in canes.
This week, a woman was stopped at Dulles International Airport in the Washington area after an X-ray showed she was carrying a sword cane.
The Transportation Security Administration says the woman had no idea that her walking stick was also a weapon.
The woman wasn't charged and was allowed board her flight, without the cane.
The TSA advises airline passengers to try to unscrew the tops of their canes, to make sure there are no surprises inside.
