ROSELAWN – Cincinnati Police said a suspect in a shooting at a shopping center parking lot may have bought his victim a drink.
The shooting happened Thursday night in the lot of the Valley Shopping Center. Police said the man was shot in his car, after visiting a nearby bar.
The 28-year-old victim was able to drive himself to the intersection of Reading Road near Section Road. Paramedics had just happened to be there, on another call, and transported him to the hospital.
Police told Local 12 they haven’t located a suspect, but they’re working with the bar to gather information.
“We’re working with [the bar]. Their security staff [is going] to get a copy of their video there. So far we don’t have anything on that, but we’re working on it,” said Sergeant Brian Tracy.
A friend of the victim told police he didn’t know who the shooter was, but believed the suspect may have bought the victim a drink earlier in the night.
The victim is in critical, but stable condition.
