The man charged with killing five people in Franklin County, Indiana has apparently entered a guilty plea in the case. The Batesville Herald Tribune report David Ison entered the plea yesterday in Franklin Circuit Court.
The 46 year old Ison shot and killed four members of the Napier family and their neighbor on September 25th. The bodies of 50-year-old Roy Napier; his estranged 47-year-old wife, Angela; their children, 23-year-old Melissa Napier and 18-year-old Jacob Napier; and a 43-year-old neighbor, Henry X. Smith were found inside and outside Roy Napier's mobile home in rural Laurel. Investigators say the killings happened when Ison got into an argument with Roy Napier over the price of oxycodone prescription medications.
Earlier this month, prosecutors filed amended court records that no longer seek the death penalty for Ison, but rather life in prison without the chance for parole.
