I question the article's designation of unemployed college grads as overqualified. Undoubtedly, most have unmarketable, liberal arts hobby degrees, which means that they failed to properly research, analyze and prepare for the job market. It's rare to read about an unemployed engineering grad. I'd say they're working the sort of jobs that they are qualified for.

This is mostly because everyone bought into that bogus BS that said everyone had to get a college degree. Together with everything else society has screwed up, now we have a bunch of whiners that educated themselves with useless degrees or degrees with a very limited job market. Seriously, how many times have you heard some arrogant know it all 19 year old say that they were studying fashion design, or political science, or history, or art, or someother nearly useless degree? And they were going to make buckets of cash as soon as they graduated college? The college that taught them nothing about real life, don't even know what a check book is, much less be able to balance one, can't change a tire, can barely fill their car up with gas, and on and on. Most trade people I know make at least as much as many degreed people I know. And they learned that trade without incurring 6 figures of debt.

You go Cincinnatus, all valid points. The funny thing about these polls is you can highlight certain things and make the data say whatever you want. Did they factor the percentage of the population that went to college and obtained a degree in 1970 compared to today. College degrees are much more common now, so a much higher percentage of the work force will have them.

Well what did they expect when they allowed big business to send all the manufacturing jobs overseas, W/O raising the import tax to force jobs to remain here? Between the lawyers, big business and yes even our last four Liars in Chief (presidents) we're being dismantled from the inside out... and there's not one damn thing we can do about it! Like I said on a post regarding an escaped deer, the government only wants followers, not folks with common sense or any sense of decency.

And yet they want to give amnesty to 11 million illegals. The real number is closer to 20 million, by the way. There should be almost no immigration until all Americans are working.

What a revelation...I wonder if it took "college graduates" to come to this conclusion???? What's next?? A study to tell us that our money doen't go as far as it used to???? That things cost more ?? That "Free enterprise" is daily being assaulted by the socialist minded politicians in our government ???? That our "Justice system" is becoming more of a joke every day???? That rather than punish the guilty convicts properly for using violence and force, they will "try" to disarm their "legal" citizens????? OK..I'll get down from "MY" ssoapbox, and let someone else take over the conversation....HA!!!!!
