HAMILTON - The Hamilton Police Department says they've received a second report of an attempted abduction.  This time, three boys say someone jumped out of a van and began chasing them.

The latest encounter, according to a police report, happened on Thursday night at approximately 7:30.  The boys, all between the ages of 10 and 13 years, were walking home from the New Hope Outreach Center on Pleasant Avenue.  They say a van pulled alongside them.  Someone in the backseat opened the passenger sliding door, jumped out of the van, and began chasing them.

The boys ran back to the Outreach Center for help.

Police reports indicate the first incident happened on Heathrow Court near Fairborn streets on Monday. They said the girl reported the suspect did not engage in conversation with her, he just grabbed her and attempted to force her into his open van. The girl screamed and kicked the suspect several times, which allowed her to get away and make it home safely.

The suspect in the first incident is described as a white male, about 5'10", with a medium build, a scruffy beard, and dark curly collar length hair. He was wearing torn clothing and shoes, a knit cap, and appeared very unkempt.

The white van had dents and marks on the sides, with dark tinted windows and was apparently very dirty on the inside and out.

Police did not release a suspect or van description for the second report.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Hamilton Police Department at 513-868-8511.

If you read it, It plainly say's Hamilton and the Hamilton Police dept. It doesnt say anything about Hamilton County. The moral of the story is keep your kids safe and with an adult at all times until we catch this perverted creep!!!

Unfortunately, news sites, some newspapers no longer feel the need to hire QUALIFIED proofreaders. This website contains numerous errors on any given day. It's simply lazy management.

Sarah B I know this was in Hamilton City. I was just pointing out that it was reported as HAMILTON COUNTY. The writers and editors need to proof the stories before publishing them. I see this a lot on this website

TrueorFalse- This happened in Butler County, not Hamilton County. Right behind Badin High School. Which is a little of a secluded area. I heard another story in Hamilton involving a white van a few months ago. I really hope they catch this guy. Hamilton used to be such a safe place for children to live. Now it's just getting to the point that people are leaving as quickly as possible. That should say something to the City Council. Start taking care of what's already there, instead of trying to make Hamilton a tourist attraction. It's never going to work, no matter how many statues you put up.

why is it this station contiually reports the information on a lot of stories incorrectly? Come on writers you should be proofing your stories before they are published both on the website and your facebook page. did this really happen in Hamilton County and not Hamilton City?

Any chance this is the same white van that tried abducting some young folks in the Price Hill area a few months back? I believe there was another case involving a white van on the West Side before the Price Hill incident as well.
