Blanchester Police are worried that nine stolen guns will end up in the hands of criminals.
A home in the 5000 block of Maple Grove Avenue was broken into August 1st while the residents were away. The burglars stole a lock box full of money and also got away with nine guns, all rifles or shotguns.
The guns taken are described as follows:
• Two Remington 870 shotguns
• Two 1100 semi-auto shotguns
• One Remington Wingmaster 20 gauge shotgun
• Two Remington 870 Wingmaster shotguns
• One 22 caliber rifle
• One Winchester 1937 Red Letter 12 gauge shotgun
Blanchester Police are still actively working all leads in this investigation, but due to the serious nature of the crime, the department is now asking for help from CRIMESTOPPERS.
