Cincinnati Police say a man shot and killed in Walnut Hills on Monday night was an innocent bystander caught in the argument of two people he didn't even know.
Emergency crews found Komehn Kollie shot on on Buena Vista Place near Kerper Ave. shortly before 6 p.m. Monday night. Kollie was shot in the torso. He was rushed to University Hospital where he died.
Neighbors said Kollie came to America from Liberia 32 years ago, to escape the civil unrest in his country. He had been married 27 years and had four children. Kollie was reportedly walking to the store to buy a lottery ticket, as he did every night, when he was hit by a bullet fired by two men who were having an argument across the street.
Investigators are still looking for those two men. Officials have not released any details on the description of the suspects.
