What a sad story! My heart goes out to his wife, children, family & friends. I do not understand people! There are too many shootings in Cincinnati. STOP THE VIOLENCE.

VT322D, because last time a African American cop shot and killed another African American it didn't even make the local section in the news. It barley made the news website. Kinda ironic huh? The reason why I commented on that story on this one was due to the comments after mine. I've actually stayed of that article for a reason cause commenting would be a lost cause. My apologies for bringing it up on this story.

Aww heck...FOLKS will make it about RACE, but when taken down to it's lowest common denominator, it was about a string of bad choices, bad decisions and a bad family dynamic - and then there is the lack of taking responsibility. This whole tragedy could have been averted had there been a 'cool head' onsite BEFORE the officer & cameras arrived and this family could have avoided, diverted, soothed and/or eliminated the outcome and chose NOT to do so. THAT is the whole of it and not race.

@cptn spaulding and cincy84 - I don't know why you two have the impression that if the cop who killed the young lady was black, there would be no discussion or outrage. That's ridiculous. If we apply that same logic, then Chief Craig will experience no backlash or criticism because he's black right? I thought so. The community is on him too. To those who feel the incident was unjust, CPD is CPD with no color attached to it. Race is only a factor when the evidence presents it, not simply due to the coincidence that the officer was white and the victim was black. It's the system that should be the focal point. But I know how some Cincinnatians like it: "us vs. them," hence the 170+ comments on that story about nothing but RACE.

We've lost focus here, folks...a man is dead because jackwads are running amuck and firing at each other, and anything in their path, along the way. My best thoughts & condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of this man. I am sorry he became a victim of the bottom-feeding scumbags in our society - a lot are from long lines of 'generational delinquents'....others, delinquents in training.
