Cincinnati Police released the name of a man shot to death during a home invasion in South Fairmount early Friday morning.
Two men wearing black ski masks forced their way into a home in the 2200 block of Schoedinger Ave. around 4:15 a.m. Friday morning. They first shot a dog and then shot and killed 30 year old Aaron Roseberry.
Two other people were in the house-at the time. They told police the suspects made them lay down on the floor before they killed Roseberry. The survivors ran across the street to get help.
Police are searching for a 2005 Blue Chevrolet with an Ohio plate number ETE6839. If you see that vehicle, call police immediately. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
The SPCA came to the scene to care for the dog which appears to be a pit bull or pit bull mix. The dog was shot in the hindquarters and is expected to recover.
This is the fourth homicide in the past 10 days in District 3. There were two in East Price Hill, one in Westwood, and Friday's in South Fairmount.
Captain Russ Neville said the killings are not connected.
