Police have now released a description of a driver wanted in a hit and run incident early this morning in Dayton, Kentucky. A woman was hurt when she was hit by the man's car-then he took off from the scene.
The incident was one of two that took place moments and miles apart in Northern Kentucky early on Wednesday morning.
Officers say a man in a green car with Ohio plates hit one of the women on 7th Avenue around 12:25 a.m. Officers on the scene said she was taken to University Hospital. Her name and condition were not released and police say, the driver who struck her left the scene. He was reportedly wearing a Reds ballcap and a "Jesus" necklace. His car has a cracked windshield.
Just a few minutes before the incident in Dayton, Bellevue Police responded after a woman was hit by a car in front of Joe's Crabshack.
Investigators said she worked at the restaurant and ran across the street to buy a soda. She was hit on the way back to the eatery. She was taken to the hospital-again, her name and condition have not been released. The driver did stop and police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in that incident.
