It's been in existence for 37 years and St. Rita's Haunted House is a destination for many of us every year. But it's also the destination for a thief.
The School for the Deaf is out hundreds of dollars after a break-in. Evendale Police confirm that someone stole hundreds of dollars from their haunted house.
They said the money was taken from the haunted house's ticket booth after a busy crowd went through last weekend.
The haunted house raises money for the school, and organizers of the house say it's a painful situation.
"When you got people that take what little you got, like say 100% of what we make goes to the school, it's a very frustrating setback," said Steve Haverkos, St. Rita's Haunted House chairman.
The haunted house is strictly volunteer based.
Now, they're just hoping they'll be able to draw a strong crowd for the last few days of the halloween season.
