The man named as a person of interest in the death of a 15 year old Fairfield teen now faces new charges. Police say 24 year old George Davis II offered Chelsea Johnson heroin in exchange for sex on April 15th, the day she disappeared.
Johnson's body was found near a creek by the Heritage Glen apartments between River Road and Pleasant Avenue the next day. She'd been stabbed to death.
Davis was indicted by a Grand Jury today on three charges-trafficking in heroin, importuning, and compelling prostitution.
Davis was arrested in early June and has been housed in the Butler County Jail. He is considered a person of interest in Johnson's death.
Police said they connected Davis to Johnson through a series of text messages that were exchanged between the two on the day she was killed.
Local 12's Larry Davis is in Fairfield. He will have an update later today on Local 12 News.
