My brother pick up a guy and girl hichin' a looong time ago when everybody did it and they pulled a knife on him and took his pants. I guess they figured that way they would have his wallet and he wouldn't run after them in his underwear. But the joke was on them, my brother NEVER had much money, his wallet was probably empty. Poor guy, every time he tried to help somebody out he got scewed. I guess they ALL got screwed THAT time.

Hitchin' a ride ain't what it used to be.

I stopped hitchhiking decades ago. Our society moved beyond that being safe even for strong young men many years ago. This paraplegic man has great spirit, but not much common sense.

Oh yeah, and to the other jackwads - shame on you for certain - payback is a...well, y'all know what it is!

As dangerous as hitchhiking is , I wonder at the wisdom of a paraplegic making himself so vulnerable and placing himself in such jeopardy...but I do wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully he reconsiders hitchhiking as a means of transportation.

I pray for this man and hope is will be okay but there has to be something more to this story. Shame on the people who did this (if true) as well as anyone who saw him and kept going.
