COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police at a central Ohio airport say a man has been arrested six times over the past decade for stealing luggage from the airport's baggage carousels.
The latest bust at Port Columbus International Airport got Michael White a two-year prison sentence. That was in May, when police said he stole a knapsack and suitcase. He pleaded guilty.
Airport police Sgt. Troy Mills said the 48-year-old White also served time after three of the previous arrests at the airport. He was first arrested in 2003.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that White has been arrested in the baggage terminal and at a city bus stop. He was once arrested after police said he tried to sell a stolen camera to a pawn shop.
His public defender declined to comment.
