Cincinnati Police say a man wanted in a deadly double shooting from last week has been found one thousand miles away-in Houston, Texas.

32-year old Virgil Amison of West Price Hill was arrested earlier today with the help of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force.

Police say Amison shot two men at an apartment in the 1600 block of Walnut Street around 12:30 p.m. last Wednesday, July 18th.  One was found inside a building. The second victim managed to make it a half a block away to Christ Image Church, where he sought help.

The men were rushed to the hospital. 30 year old Theodore Palmer died. Officers say the second victim, is expected to survive.

Today's stories have a neglected kid falling out of a window in OTR and a man getting shot in the foot, and trying to hide from police in OTR. In Colerain some kids pulled a harmless prank in a park.

Also Matt, no one was ever killed by a mullet or a lack of teeth.

@ Matthew Hall, Then don't go to Colerain, just like I don't go to OTR. BTW, I live north of Colerain and the only reason I go there is to pass through so that I can get to where I can safely walk down the street. I happen to live in the statistical #1 safest community and in a school district rated excellent with distinction.

By the way, Ammy, I should mention that I agree with about 90% of your posts, so this was an unusual case...

Really Ammy! Not that it belongs in this story, your below comment concerning whether the Police Chief (who has been in leadership roles in several departments across USA) should take a test required for entry level officers is a bit silly. However, if that is a condition of the position, the city should offer the test as part of the application process. Usually someone at his level would be hired based on credentials, not on a basic test. Frankly, I have worked in the field I am in for many years, and would feel a bit insulted if a new employer asked me to take some basic test designed for someone just out of college....

If he is guilty - they should've left him in TX, where they are not so slow or shy in their 'execution' of sentencing.

Who are you fooling moogie, you couldn't possibly afford a market rate house or apartment in OTR. They are rented or sold within days of being listed. Rejecting a choice that was never available to you in the first place is pathetic.

Evidence non-cincinnatus, evidence. Just a reminder to everyone here, no one under 45 posts here and no one under 30 realizes that local television stations even exist. You are all relics arguing about a fading world.
