The man who allegedly shot and killed a young mother in Northside last week was reportedly living with his victim. 44 year old Carlos Richardson appeared before a judge on Wednesday morning, one day after he was arrested for the death of 20 year old Candace DeMoss.
DeMoss was found shot and killed at a home near Beech Hill and Pullman Avenues on November 18th. She apparently lived in the home with Richardson, his wife, and his children. Family members of DeMoss say the two were friends.
It's still not clear what led to the violence. A judge set Richardson's bond at $250,000. The prosecutor pointed out that Richardson has 27 previous convictions, many of which are felonies.
On Tuesday, detectives conducted a search of the home where the murder took place. Officials haven't said if they found any significant evidence in the case.
DeMoss leaves behind two children-ages one and three years.
